What is MIIDEL
MIIDEL is a system that highlights changes in drawings and documents with colors to quickly identify changes
As shown in the diagram below, the modified areas in the left and right documents are not immediately noticeable at first glance
Using MIIDEL, the system highlights the changes with colors, making the modified areas easily visible as shown in the diagram below
However, as shown in this diagram, it may not always be possible to compare the old and new versions under favorable conditions, and various issues may arise that prevent a comparison from being made
MIIDEL is a system designed to address such concerns and provide solutions for our users

Correction function
It is used when aligning distorted objects such as scanned images, or when the layout is changed and the differences cannot be easily identified just by overlapping
Refer to : Correction
Misalignment correction
- This reduces the subtle differences in shading that occur when documents are overlaid and mitigates the resulting differences in display
Line width emphasis
- This is used in cases where one of the lines in the loaded data is thin
Deformation
- This is used for scaling, and rotating the page being displayed
Change resolution
- This is used to change the loading resolution of the currently displayed page, making it easier to confirm details by increasing the resolution or increasing the processing speed by reducing the resolution
Color settings
- You can change the color of the displayed annotations (no change:black, addition:red, deletion:blue) to make it easier to find the changed parts
Blur switching
- You can toggle the emphasis display of the change points
Reset the page to its initial state
- This function resets all the processes performed on the currently displayed page, and reset it to the initial state after comparison
Display before change
- Displays only the page before change. You can also do this by pressing the "1" key on your keyboard
Display after change
- Displays only the page after change. You can also do this by pressing the "2" key on your keyboard
Magnifying magnification
- You can change the magnification of the magnifying glass that appears when you right-click on a page
Fit display
- Fit display to screen
Display Magnification
Select the page magnification
You can also use Ctrl+scroll to page magnification
Correction
It is used when aligning distorted objects such as scanned images, or when the layout is changed and the differences cannot be easily identified just by overlapping
By turning on "Apply to all pages", all pages after the currently displayed page will be corrected automatically
MIIDEL operation will not be available when automatic correction is in progress
Auto:Distortion correction
This feature automatically corrects scanned images with distortion or pages with different sizes to align them with the modified page, making it easier to identify changes

- Match rate threshold
- You can specify the minimam match rate for correction processing

Auto:Layer correction
You can automatically break down the parts within a page and compare them by automatically overlaying similar parts

Layer correction takes a lot of processing time
Pages with text as the main content require more processing time compared to pages with images as the main content
The larger the paper size, the longer the processing time required
SemiAuto:Three-point correction
Select three points on pages with different layouts, such as structural diagrams and facility diagrams, drawings and photographs, and align those points to make it easier to find the differences
Three-point correction requires manual adjustment, unlike the Auto:Auto correction
As an example, the blue shaded area and the red shaded area are superimposed
Move the 〇 located at three corners of both the before and after versions to specify reference points
Set the reference points for both the before and after images, then click the OK button in the upper right corner to perform the correction
By indicating three points on the originally differently scaled and positioned drawings, they can be compared more easily
SemiAuto:Layer correction
Manually specify parts within a page to automatically overlay similar parts and facilitate finding changes
SemiAuto:Layer correction is used when correction cannot be done by methods such as Auto:Distortion correction,Auto:Layer correction or SemiAuto:Three-point correction
Clipping
If the layout of the loaded data has changed or the number of lines in text or lists is different, as shown in the figure below, you can move the comparison target while clipping it according to your intuition
Button descriptions
Rectangular clipping
- Clip any location with a rectangle
Lasso clipping
- Clip any location freehand
Adsorption function when arranging parts
- Automatically moves clipped parts to similar locations
Right click menu

- Clip
- Retain the clipped parts for use on another page
- Reset
- Put the cut-out part back in its original place
- Delete
- Delete the clipped parts from the page
- Paste
- Paste the cut-out part onto the currently displayed page
Clip operation
Click on the Rectangular clipping or Lasso clipping button to start the clipping process
You can drag and select any area on the page to clip the image
For lasso clipping, you can cut out parts by drawing a freehand outline around themClick to select the clipped part and drag to move it freely
Parts can also be moved up, down, left, or right by using the arrow keys or Ctrl+arrow keysIf "Adsorption function when arranging parts" is ON, the parts are automatically moved to overlap with similar partsClick the "Confirm" button to finish the clipping operation
FAQ
I want to use MIIDEL on a 32-bit computer
Until recently, I was able to use MIIDEL normally, but suddenly I can't log in. What should I do?
When trying to display high-resolution TIFF or PDF files, MIIDEL crashes
When loading TIFF and PDF images, I get an error message saying "Exceeding the allowable page size for loading. Try lowering the DPI or loading in grayscale." What is the maximum loading size supported by MIIDEL?
I want to load a PDF file, but I'm getting an error and can't load it. What should I do?
What are the problems when trying to compare high-resolution or oversized data?
- t may not be possible to move by dragging
- Depending on the specifications of your computer, distortion correction, Layer correction, and other correction functions may take up to an hour to process
What types of data are processed quickly and slowly during distortion/layer correction comparison?
-
【Quick Comparison Data】
- Data and documents with main lines
- Data with small paper size such as A4
- Data with many blank spaces
Even full-size drawings, such as 30m x 5m, can be processed quickly and compared if they are mainly line drawings with a lot of blank spaceProcessing will be faster if the comparison is done on a PC with high CPU processing performance and high memory capacity -
【Slow Comparison Data】
- Data scanned at high resolution
- Data with many characters
- Data with large image capacity per image
If the computer's CPU is slow, memory is small (2~8GB), and storage is HDD, it may take longer to process the data, and the data that can be compared may be smaller
How long does the comparison process take?
- For Intel® Core™ i7-1185G7
- For Intel Core i5 1035G1
Operation | Cost |
---|---|
Loading 15 pages of A3 size at 72dpi | 4sec |
Comparison of the above content | 3sec |
Loading 15 pages of A3 size at 192dpi | 14sec |
Comparison of the above content | 13sec |
Distortion correction for a page of A3 size loaded at 192dpi | 6sec |
Layer correction for a page of A3 size loaded at 192dpi | 18sec |

If the shape of the model is not changed but the size is reduced as a layout adjustment (from a 1:1 view to a 1:2 view), is there a function to manually toggle whether this change is "detected as a difference" or "not detected due to no shape change"?
When comparing, we use PDF data directly converted from CAD and paper scan (PDF data) or PDF data directly converted from CAD. Will the comparison results be the same? (Is it possible to correct the minor misalignment of the paper scan to achieve the same results?)
